Players of Ark: Survival Ascended are diving into the new Aberration Ascended expansion, but a peculiar bug is causing amusing and confusing overpopulation issues. The latest update for the beloved survival game features one of the most distinctive and popular maps, moving the action underground into a vast network of caves and tunnels. However, a strange glitch has resulted in an overwhelming number of Paraceratherium appearing, even in areas that are supposed to be marked as "safe" spawns.

Reddit user castDragon3 shared a clip showcasing their surprise as they fly through a cavern overrun by these giant, normally docile dinosaurs. The Paraceratherium can be seen roaming at every level of the cave, and while it's a meat collector’s dream, it's certainly unusual to witness such an overpopulation in a confined space. Another user, Baron_Cartek, mentioned encountering a similar Paracer population surge near Fertile Lake, and jharris2017 noted that their single-player game has also seen excessive spawning.

This abundance of Paraceratherium is widely regarded as a glitch, as the Survival Evolved version of the map didn't see these dinosaurs spawning at such high rates. The issue isn't limited to Paracers either: some players have reported an excessive number of frogs and snakes, with up to 30 appearing on screen at once. Fortunately, this bug doesn't seem to be permanent, as hunting the creatures reduces their numbers and prevents further overpopulation.

For players seeking a faster solution, using a Dino Wipe via console commands or mods can clear out wild dinosaurs and reset the population to a more manageable level. That said, some players might find the Paracer overload beneficial for farming certain resources, so keeping them around could have its advantages.
