On homepage of denMS, click the button:
This will take you to google drive for the "denms.zip" download (Warning: Download is large at 1.7 GB and only supports Windows)
After downloading, extract the zip to your preferred location. In order to start the game you run "denmsclient.exe"
If any errors or warnings pop up, hit ignore or continue.
This is what you will see at first, it is the auto-updater: WARNING: If this command prompt / terminal window is closed before it finishes (it will launch the game automatically when it is done), or if it is launched twice in succession, it will break the game.
So do not accidentally run "denmsclient.exe" twice or close anything until the game has started.
You may have to allow the files "denmsclient.exe", "denmsclientHD.exe", "denmsclient\SKEL\2f932b50de956533b47177b00af6a3b5d5ca72ea\denmsclient.exe", and "denmsclient\SKEL\c1e9433f5159b4125ae6f6e84e2cf4d03a5ec89a\denmsclientHD.exe" through your firewall in order to connect (also check the homepage https://jongames.com/ms/ to make sure the server is currently ONLINE).
If you are running Windows 8 or 10, you may need to enable compatibility mode! Windows XP, Vista, and 7 should work without this.
Go to your extracted folder and right click "denmsclient.exe", click 'Properties', and then click the 'Compatibility' tab. Tick the box to 'Run this program in compatibility mode' and choose the option: 'Windows 98 / Windows Me'. Also enable 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' and 'Run this program as an administrator'. Finally hit 'Apply' and 'OK'.
If these tips don't resolve the problem, you can follow the Mac & Linux instructions here as those also work on Windows.

NOTICE: VirusTotal and other antivirus will flag "denmsclient.exe" as a virus and delete it. This is not true and is due to a lack of digital signature on the game client.
Information from a reputable forum on game development explaining that these are not viruses:

Link to original file comes from https://github.com/ronancpl/HeavenMS another reputable website.
IF your antivirus deletes the "denmsclient.exe" file which is required to run the game, instead of forcing you to re-download the really large ZIP file, you can click the button: which is a much smaller download. You must place it in the original extracted folder and rename it to "denmsclient.exe"
Please add an exception in your anti-virus software for this file and try again.
