Faction allows you to form a group/guild which protects your claimed area and belongings in it. As the leader or officer of a faction you can limit the access your members have to faction commands or the land, and you can control the behavior in your faction for example you can disable mob spawning. You can also control what your allies, enemies and the factions in Truce can do in your faction.

To claim chunks- /f claim one (to claim the chunk you are in while running the command) /f claim auto (Claims every wilderness chunk you walk into until your power runs out or you toggle it off running the command toggles it on/off)
/f unclaim one can be used for unclaiming the chunk you are standing in.

Power? you gain 1 power every 30 minutes and you lose 2 upon death 1 power = 1 chunk. One player has a max power of 20 so if you are alone in the faction you will only have 20 max power but for example if you have 2 players in your faction it will have 40 max power meaning you would be able to claim 40 chunks.
